Understand how the rod pumping system and pump work, and the differences between pumping units. For the first time, you can see what happens downhole, how the rods stretch, the delay between what occurs at the polished rod versus the pump and a lot more. See how and when the traveling and standing valves open and close, what happens when there is fluid pound, how the speed of the plunger and polished rod compare, etc.
The XANIMATE program now supports both English and Spanish.
Changing the language preference is as simple as clicking the mouse.
The user can select the Language to be used for the animation descriptions
and all menu and button labels and messages.
XANIMATE can serve as an excellent training tool or personal educational
product for both Spanish and English speaking audiences. The single CD has
both languages available.
The CD-ROM incorporates animations used in Theta Enterprises' rod pumping schools to teach how rod pumping systems work, compare pumping units, explain fluid pound, etc. After requests from many of our customers, they are now being provided in a single CD-ROM for purchase.
The system animations you get on the CD-ROM were developed using sophisticated modeling and animation software and were drawn using the same system modeling algorithms used in the RODSTAR and XDIAG computer programs. Exact pumping unit kinematics were used to model the pumping units and draw each frame of the animation. Wave equation models were used to simulate and draw the rod string for very realistic representations of system operation.
Each animation is accompanied by sounds representing the process being demonstrated.
If you are involved in teaching classes on Rod Pumping or if you have a need for the pumping animations in your presentation, the new 1.0.8 Release makes it possible to launch any specified animation from within PowerPoint by passing the animation name to the program with the link.
The downhole pump animations show how the traveling and standing valves work and how the fluid level and pump are affected when there is fluid pound or gas interference. These animation are very realistic and illustrate exactly what happens in the pump and how the valves open and close.
The CD-ROM comes with 39 animations with sound effects and 21 bitmap files that can be used as Windows desktop wallpaper.
As an extra bonus, the CD-ROM includes several photographs in bitmap format that you can use as Windows wallpaper. These include various photographs of pumping units, a drilling rig, a old dynamometer system, a few offshore platforms, a picture of the first Mark II ever built, and others.
