Trends Bar - There three different groups of trends:
- Controller graphs raw data sent from pump-off controller. The trend in the group change according to the POC of the currently selected well. The data available for that POC will only be displayed, and by default all will be shown, as a commonly used trend.
- Events plots notes created for this well. Events are displayed according to event group type.
- Analysis graphs data from values calculated by known static controller data.
You can graph a trend by double clicking on the Trend treeview. If a trend becomes grayed out then there was no data of which to graph. When the trend is graphed the icon next to the trend will show a graph.
Once a trend is graphed, you can toggle which axis the trend is displayed by double clicking on the trend line itself (Analysis and Controller). For instance, by default "runtime" is displayed according to the values on the left axis. By double clicking "runtime" will be displayed using the right axis. The is particularly useful when wanting to view trend with low variant data with a trend with high values. Double clicking an event plot will display a popup contain that events information.
*XSClient remembers each users settings for commonly used trends; however, one must be logged in to get the respective defaults.
Trends Menu
- Show Alarm Limits toogles whether to display limits if they exist.
- Set Host Alarms opens host alarm configuration window.
- To change (remove or add) a trend, right-mouse click on group (Analysis, Controller, or Events) then click on the trend you would like to change. If the trend is checked then it will be displayed as a commonly used Trend; if not, it will be hidden.
Settings Menu - clicking Settings at the top of the window displays a popup menu. By clicking Save Current View it will automatically trend the currently displayed trends the next time this user opens the data history.
Date Axis controls the dates within which the graph will display.
- Start Date is used on the leftmost most part of graph. (earliest date)
- End Date is the date used on the right most part of the graph (latest date)
- Amount sets the number of increments to adjust back from the end date.
- Increments determines the scale for the increments (Months, Days, Years, Weeks)
Value Axis controls the start and stop values for each axis.
- Auto Calculate Axis will, if checked, determine and adjust proper lower and higher axis values based on the maximum and minimum plotted points
- Low Axis will set a static value for the base (bottom) of the graph.
- High Axis will set a static value for the top of the graph.
