Theta Newsletter - February 2001
New XSPOC Features and Capabilities
We continue to add new features and enhancements
to XSPOC. Since the last newsletter we have
added:
- facilities monitoring capabilities
that allow I/O points to be monitored,
alarmed, and trended using Modbus, NetDDE,
or auxiliary I/O on any controller device.
These features can be very useful for
remote monitoring of tank levels, header
pressures, etc. support for CDPD communications
that allows use of cell phone networks
to communicate with wells that are spread
out over vast distances (hundreds of miles).
- a new data input screen
that allows users to easily enter all
well information and added support for
the Pickford controller.
- and we will be working with
Lufkin Automation to support their newest
SAM controller as soon as their
communication protocol is finalized and
released to us.
