T1 Dyno First Field Test

We recently field-tested our new T1 Dynamometer system. The field test went very well and the equipment performed flawlessly. As a result of this field test we discovered and fixed a few software bugs in DYNOSTAR. We also tested the load cell and position transducers in a laboratory with impressive results.

In the field test the option to keep all the equipment together proved very convenient. The way this works is as follows:

• Step 1: You knock the well off and install the load cell and secure it on the polished rod with the safety latch.
• Step 2: Pick up the polished rod load by releasing the brake of the pumping unit.
• Step 3: Hang the system on the polished rod load cell by sliding the vertical handle of the load cell into the slot on the back plate of the system. Then, connect the load cell cable to the system and the computer cable to the computer.

This keeps all the equipment off the ground, which keeps them clean. Also, having to deal with a single cable that connects the system to the computer is very convenient.
