New and Improved Version of XDIAG Close to Completion

We are pleased to announce that an improved new version of XDIAG is very close to completion. This new version adds many more downhole dynamometer card patterns to the pattern recognition database of XDIAG along with many other improvements that include:

• More accurate fluid level detection
• The ability to calculate the rod-tubing friction coefficient and pump friction.
• Many other expert knowledge improvements that result in more accurate problem diagnosis.
• The option to include or exclude buoyancy effects when calculating rod stresses.

The ability to calculate the pump friction allows you to obtain this important number for use in the new version of RODSTAR. Then, you can more accurately determine how many sinker bars you need to avoid buckling.
