How to Set Default Folder for "File Open" and "Save as".

Solution

You can set the Default Folder that your RODSTAR (or other product) uses when Opening or Saving a new File by setting up a Shortcut Icon on your Desktop.

• Then Right-Click on the Icon and select "Properties".
• Select the "Shortcut" tab.
  The box for "Target" should have the actual path to the executable program file, like "C:\PROG~1\THETA\RSWIN.EXE" for example.
• The box for the "Start In" is where you can set the Default Folder to use for Open and Save As. Just type in the full path to the folder, e.g. "C:\MYDATA\CASEFILES".
• Click "Apply" and then close.
• Start RODSTAR and it should now default to your folder.

If you change the path for Opening a file in RODSTAR then it will continue to use that path until you close RODSTAR and open it again.
