XROD is the fastest way to get high-quality rod pumping system designs with minimal effort. The program uses sophisticated Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to provide you with the most accurate and best designs for non-deviated rod pumping systems.

    • Whole Rod Pumping System Design with Artificial Intelligence:

      ROD has the ability to design (up to 16 designs) your whole rod pumping system with only two inputs, target production and pump depth. These designs can be done for steel rods and/or fiberglass and up to eight different pumping unit manufacturers. At the completion of XROD’s artificial intelligence run, your results will be at least an A score and include:

      • Strokes per minute (SPM)
      • Balanced and most cost effective rod string design.
      • For deviated wells, you can have XROD recommend and implement your rod guides from your preferences.
      • Plunger and tubing size.
      • Motor Size.
      • Pumping unit with optimal crank hole/stroke length.
    • Automatic Sinker Bar Design:

      Based upon your design, XROD is able to determine if your well will need sinker bars, and will add the correct number of sinker bars to keep the rods in tension.

    • Artificial Intelligence:

      XROD is the fastest way to get superb rod pumping system designs (typically A+ or A design scores) with minimum effort. This new program uses sophisticated Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to provide you with the most accurate and best designs for non-deviated rod pumping systems. In AI mode, XROD can still design for deviated wells, powered by RODSTAR. XROD makes it very easy and incredibly fast to design a new rod pumping system, or to simulate an existing one. With XROD you simply enter the pump depth and a “target” production (or IPR data) and have the program automatically calculate the complete system design (spm, plunger type and size, tubing size, pumping unit size and stroke length, rod string including sinker bars, and motor size). This is done for all the pumping unit types you want to consider. Or, you can select to only use units in your inventory.

    • IPR integration:

      Integration allows you to have XROD calculate the target production from pump intake pressure or fluid level, or to calculate the pump intake pressure from a target production or entered spm. XROD can produce great system designs for up to eight pumping unit types in seconds and automatically summarizes the results in an easy to use and customizable Excel spreadsheet. XROD automatically runs in “batch” mode with a run for each pumping unit type you want to consider. Also, XROD “learns” from its own runs and gets faster over time. XROD never “forgets” these improved designs. XROD scores its own designs and the designs you enter yourself (A, B, C, D, F). You can easily modify the designs XROD recommends and can save the recommended designs as individual RODSTAR files. If you enter your own design and get a low score, the program makes recommendations for improving your design.
